Research Project

Regulation of Membrane Potential by Molecular Recognition
Regulation of Membrane Permeability by Molecular Recognition
Regulation of Regio- and Stereoselectivity by Catalytic Reaction Control

In our laboratory, fundamental studies are being carried out for the development of functional molecules and catalysts on the basis of molecular recognition and catalytic reaction control by synthetic supramolecular systems.
(1) Highly selective recognition of adenine nucleobases by synthetic host molecules and the application of potentiometric sensing of the adenine nucleotide.
(2) Transition-metal-catalyzed multicomponent coupling (domino coupling) with regio- and steroselectivity.
